About the Event
The Association of Alaska Housing Authorities is hosting a two (2) day training on Indian Housing Plan (IHP)/Annual Performance Report (APR). The IHP/APR are the most critical submissions required by the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA). Recipients are required to submit the IHP to HUD at least 75 days prior to the start of their 12-month program year, and the APR is due 90 days after the end of the recipient’s program year. This workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the IHP and APR requirements, the process for developing the local IHP, tracking activities for the APR, step-by-step process for completing the report template, current reference materials related to the IHP and APR, and an overview of the HUD’s EPIC on-line reporting system. The workshop also incorporates discussion and case studies to facilitate networking and to assist participants in being prepared to complete their IHP and APR.
David Vought has worked as the executive director of an Alaska Indian Housing Authority and with HUD in management positions for 25 years. He has 37 years of experience providing training and working with American Indians and Alaska Native tribes on a wide range of topics including administration, planning, financing, housing development and management.
