Overview
AAHA is hosting a two (2) day training for Executive Directors, in Anchorage, AK. This training will focus on developing effective leadership skills to enable the executive director or housing manager to create a high functioning organization or department. Topics will include: Housing Director, skills and duties; Executive Director and Board of Commissioner relationships; Strategic Planning; NAHASDA overview of statutory and regulatory requirements; Compliance policies, monitoring and reporting; and Financial Management.
Trainers
Rob Jordan, owner of Dare to Know LLC, brings over a decade of experience supporting housing entities, NGOs, and executives. He holds MA and BA degrees from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has leadership, program, and data management experience.
Griffin Hagle-Forster, Executive Director of the Association of Alaska Housing Authorities, brings tribal and rural housing expertise. His regional housing authority leadership and HUD/NAHASDA experience inform practical, governance-focused Executive Director training for RHAs and TDHEs.
