About the event
Overview
AAHA is hosting a three-day training focused on procurement and contracting for Alaska tribal communities. The training will cover the procurement process, compliance with regulations and requirements, writing and evaluating RFPs and RFQs, understanding their differences, best practices, effective contract management, and contract administration. Participants will also learn strategies to ensure contracts meet tribal housing needs, and the course will include the development of a curated directory of contractors familiar with Alaska Tribal housing requirements.
Trainer- Rob Jordan
Rob Jordan has 20 years of experience supporting NAHASDA recipients, TDHEs, and tribal housing developers across Alaska. Existing familiarity with AAHA’s HUD-approved materials ensures efficient updates and accurate alignment with current federal requirements.
