Overview

AAHA will host an online three (3) day intensive workshop, presenting energy-efficient building techniques for builders, designers, planners, and homeowners. It is an excellent opportunity to learn the latest construction methods related to residential energy efficiency. The building technologies introduced are based on energy conservation through the use of insulation, air/vapor retarders, insulating windows, and controlled ventilation systems, among other methods. Please note: This course meets the State of Alaska Division of Occupational Licensing educational requirements that qualify general contractors to take the state Residential Endorsement exam. To be eligible for Continue Education Units (CEUs), participants must be on-camera for the entire training

Jim Ward brings over 31 years of professional building and energy efficiency consulting experience to this training. He serves as a subject matter expert on technical advisory and code review committees for the Municipality of Anchorage, the Cold Climate Housing Research Center and the Alaska Craftsman Home Program.
