Overview
AAHA is hosting a three (3) day intensive training on Site Control. Acquiring land in rural Alaska involves unique challenges, including unresolved land claims, complex legal requirements, and clouded land titles. These factors can hinder public and private investments. This training will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to navigate these challenges effectively, fostering better land management and encouraging investment in rural communities. The training aims to bridge the gap in real estate education for rural Alaska communities, providing essential training on land acquisition processes and legal requirements. Topics will include real property transfer documentation, land title, legal descriptions, recording, land records research, Section 14(c) of ANCSA and specifics on acquiring sites on; Native allotments, restricted title properties, ANCSA village corporation land, municipal land, municipal trust land, and land from private parties.
