Overview
AAHA will host a three (3) day online Strategic Planning Training to provide information and guidance under the Native American Housing and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) for housing authorities, tribal entities, and other individuals to understand Strategic Planning. Participants will learn the benefits of having a strategic plan, as well as learn strategies and insights that can be utilized to develop a short or long term plan to accomplish their goals. This virtual training will emphasize the development of a strategic plan that is appropriate and effective for the size and needs of the recipient’s programs. Data development and analysis, recognizing critical issues and identifying goals and implementation will be included in the covered topics.
Trainer
David Vought has worked professionally with Indian housing programs for over 39 years. During this time, he developed expertise in all aspects of housing and government program administration including planning, program design, construction, contract administration, occupancy and compliance with federal program requirements. Jorge Duyos has provided training and technical assistance to Housing Authorities for HUD for over 14 years. His areas of expertise include organizational analysis, business process reengineering, user fee analysis, work measurement systems, operational and financial analysis, project management, and activity based costing. He combines his engineering and consulting experience to generate creative and practical solutions across a number of issues.
