Overview
AAHA is hosting a virtual, 3-day Environmental Review workshop to provide HUD recipients with the necessary skills to ensure full compliance with the requirements of 24 CFR Part 58. Participants will become familiar with: responsibilities of responsible entities; achieving compliance with NEPA and related laws, executive orders, and regulations; preparing environmental review records; making environmental review determinations, identifying environmental impact; the consultation process, public notices and comment periods; and processing the request for release of funds. Please have a copy of an IHP (current or past) available to use for practice purposes.
Trainer
Shannon Reynaga an experienced local ERR Officer and Project Manager with AHA since 2008. He has attended, tested, and passed many HUD related courses relevant to his position. Kennedy Serr, Chief Administrative Officer with AHA has worked over 10 years in construction. Both she and Mr. Reynaga provide technical assistance to other housing authorities and have worked with AAHA to provide other ERR trainings.
