About the Event

Overview 

AAHA is hosting a three (3) day NAHASDA Intermediate online training. NAHASDA Intermediate is the next step to a more comprehensive understanding of the Native American Housing Assistance and Self Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA). Participants will be equipped with valuable tools and resources such as the latest regulations, program guidance, and PIH Notices to manage their programs successfully. Topics to be included, but not limited to; Overview of NAHASDA; Development and TCD; Operating Budgets; Useful Life; Leveraging and Management Capacity; and more.


Trainer 

Cielo Gibson has been working with 1937 Act and NAHASDA housing programs for over 20 years. Her work includes development of homeownership programs and policies for numerous tribes. As a professional trainer and administrator of NAHASDA programs, Ms. Gibson has extensive experience with Indian Housing throughout the United States and Alaska.


Who should attend? 

Staff of Regional Housing Authorities (RHA)/Tribally Designate Housing Entities (TDHE) including; Housing Staff, Procurement Staff, Contract Administrators, Finance Staff, Project Managers, Inspectors, and Maintenance Directors
